On February 4th 2010, the WG met on the occasion of the first NEREUS-Workshop on Satellite Telecommunication “Bringing Broadband to the Regions“.
The objective of the workshop was to highlight the potentials of satellite communication for regional development. The event, hosted by the Representation of the State of Baden- Württemberg to the EU in Brussels brought together more than 40 representatives from industry and business organizations as well European Institutions and regional administrations. Ms Aarti Holla-Maini (ESOA), Ms Luisa Sanchez (DG Regional Policy), Mr Michael Reiss (Ministry for nutrition and rural areas, Baden-Württemberg) and Mr Richard Womersley (HELIOS), gave theit contribution.
